EM Projects (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our mobile applications, including DiveIQ (package com.em_projects.diveiq), and future apps published under the EM Projects developer account.

2. Information stored on your device (DiveIQ)

DiveIQ is designed primarily as a local app. The following data is stored on your phone or tablet using on-device storage (for example, a local database):

• Diver profile (such as weight, height, certification level, default gear preferences)
• Dive log entries (depth, duration, tank pressures, buoyancy feedback, recommended weight, timestamps)
• App preferences and optional entitlement flags (for example, in-app purchase state when enabled)

We do not operate a user account server for DiveIQ in the current version. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data typically removes this local information.

3. Information collected automatically

DiveIQ uses Google Firebase services, which may collect limited technical and usage data, such as:

• Firebase Analytics — aggregated usage events to understand how the app is used
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and device state to diagnose stability issues

This data is processed by Google according to Google’s Privacy Policy. You can learn more about Firebase at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4. How we use information

• Provide dive logging and weight recommendation features
• Improve app reliability and fix bugs
• Understand aggregate usage patterns (Analytics)
• Respond to support requests you send us by email

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing

We do not share your dive log content with third parties for marketing. Data may be processed by service providers that help us operate the app (for example, Google/Firebase, Google Play for distribution and purchases when applicable), only as needed to provide those services.

6. Google Play and in-app purchases

If you make purchases through Google Play, payment is handled by Google. We receive information needed to verify entitlements (for example, that a purchase is active), not your full payment card details.

7. Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit to analytics/crash services. Local data on your device is protected by your device’s operating system; use a device lock screen for additional protection.

9. Your choices

• Update or delete profile and dive data within the app (where those features are available)
• Clear app data or uninstall the app to remove local storage
• Limit ad/analytics on your device via system settings where applicable
• Contact us to ask questions about this policy

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we release new apps or features. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
